ABSTRACT
One of the efforts to reduce the maternal mortality rate (MMR) and reduce the population growth rate is through the Family Planning program. Apart from being an effort to reduce MMR, the contraceptive method is also an effort to prevent HIV transmission from mother to child. In pregnant women HIV is a threat to the safety of the mother's soul and a threat to the child she is carrying because HIV transmission can occur from mother to baby. The aim of this study was to analyse factors related to family planning as a prevention of HIV/AIDS transmission in pregnant women in the South Cilacap Health Center area. The research used descriptive analytic with a cross-sectional approach with the sample in this study were 45 pregnant women who checked in the Cilacap Selatan I Community Health Center area who met the inclusion criteria. The results of the study found no relationship between age, parity, level of knowledge and attitudes with planning contraceptive methods as prevention of HIV/AIDS transmission in Hhmil women in the South Cilacap Health Center area with a p value > 0.05.
