THE AVAILABILITY OF PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT WITH STRESS LEVELS IN NURSING STUDENTS DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC
Abstract
The Covid-19 pandemic requires students to learn with various limitations. Adaptation that must be fast to the limitations that exist during practice during the Covid-19 pandemic raises new problems such as stress levels in students. Some of the factors that cause students to practice stress is the availability of Personal Protective Equipment for students is incomplete. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between the availability of personal protective equipment and the stress levels of nursing students during the Covid-19 pandemic in the Inpatient Room of Tugurejo Hospital Semarang. This type of research was quantitative with a correlational analytical research design, using a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique in this study used non probability sampling with purposive sampling with a sample of 58 respondents who were calculated using the Slovin formula and met the criteria for inclusion and exclusion. Personal Protective Equipment of nursing students is incomplete as much as 67.2%. The stress level of nursing students falls into the mild category as much as 62.1%. There is a relationship between the availability of Personal Protective Equipment and the stress level of nurse students during the Covid-19 pandemic in Inpatient Room of Tugurejo Hospital Semarang (p-value = 0.002). There is a relationship between the availability of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and the stress level of nursing students during the Covid-19 pandemic in the Hospitalization Room of Tugurejo Hospital Semarang

ABSTRAK
Pandemi Covid-19 mengharuskan mahasiswa melakukan pembelajaran dengan berbagai keterbatasan. Adaptasi yang harus cepat dengan keterbatasan yang ada selama praktik di masa pandemic Covid-19 memunculkan masalah baru seperti tingkat stress pada mahasiswa. Beberapa faktor yang menyebabkan mahasiswa praktikan stres adalah ketersediaan APD untuk mahasiswa kurang lengkap. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis ketersediaan alat pelindung diri dengan tingkat stres pada mahasiswa perawat selama pandemi Covid-19 di Ruang Rawat Inap RSUD Tugurejo Semarang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan rancangan penelitian analitik korelasional, menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional. Teknik sampling dalam penelitian ini menggunakan non probability sampling dengan purposive sampling dengan sampel sebanyak 58 responden yang dihitung menggunakan rumus Slovin serta memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Pengambilan data menggunakan instrument Kuesioner Depression Anxiety Stress-Scale (DASS). Alat Pelindung Diri (APD) mahasiswa perawat tidak lengkap sebanyak 67,2%. Tingkat stres mahasiswa perawat masuk dalam kategori ringan sebanyak 62,1%. Ada hubungan antara ketersediaan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD) dengan tingkat stres praktikan mahasiswa perawat selama pandemi Covid-19 di Ruang Rawat Inap RSUD Tugurejo Semarang (p-value = 0,002). Peningkatan stres yang terjadi pada Mahasiswa terutama perawat dimasa pandemi ini diantaranya perasaan takut tertular virus corona karena seringnya terpapar dengan pasien serta ketersediaan APD yang terbatas.
